Account Info (Contact Info / Password / Username)

Q: How do I change my email address?

From your member home page, click *My Account* and then click the *Edit Account* tab. Type in your new email address. Click *Submit* to save your changes.

Q: How do I change my location/city?

From your member home page, click *My Account* and then click the *Edit Profile* tab. Select your new Country, City and/or State and scroll down the page to type in your new zip code (US only). Click the *Continue to Step 2* button, and then click the *Submit* button, when you’re done making changes.

Q: How do I change my password? Login to CardPartySingles.com, which takes you to your member home page. Click *My Account* located on the top menu. Click on the *Edit Account* tab. Type in your new password in the *Password* and *Confirm* boxes, then click the *Submit* button to save your changes.

Q. How do I change my username/screen name?

Unfortunately, once you have chosen your username it cannot be changed.

Q: What should I do if I forgot my username or password?

Go to http://www.cardpartysingles.com/resend.php. Please input the email address that you registered with and click the *Resend Password* button. Wait a few minutes, and check your email Inbox and/or Spam/Junk folder for the email message from Card Party Singles.

Edit Profile (Profile Info / Photos / Audio / Video)

Q: How do I edit/update the information in my profile? From your member home page, click *My Account* and then click the *Edit Profile* tab. After making your changes, click the *Continue to Step 2* button, and then click the *Submit* button.

Q: What are the profile guidelines (About Me, My Match, My Bio, etc.)?

No contact information (i.e., email, phone number, messenger screen names, etc.). No Advertisements, such as business names, website links, etc. No foul, offensive, or abusive language. This includes cursing, threats, racial slurs, and hate messages. Please do not describe your private parts or genitalia in any way. Please save comments about sex for private messages between members. Profile information will be reviewed by our staff and may be rejected/deleted at anytime at our sole discretion. Please review our guidelines before submission.

Q. How do I change my username/screen name?

Unfortunately, once you have chosen your username it cannot be changed.

Q: Oops, I listed myself as the wrong gender, how do I correct this?

Login to CardPartySingles.com, which takes you to your member home page. Click *My Account* located on the top menu. Click on the *Edit Account* tab. Select your gender, then click the *Submit* button to save your changes.

Q: Oops, I listed myself as the wrong sexual orientation (for example, man seeking women instead of woman seeking men), how do I correct this?

From your member home page, click *My Account* and then click the *Edit Profile* tab. Check either the *Seeking men* checkbox or the *Seeking women* checkbox and then click the *Continue to Step 2* button. Click *Submit* to save your changes.

Q: How do I upload photos?

Your pictures are the perfect way to show off your best assets. You only get one chance to make a first impression, so step up your game and obey the guidelines! Remember, the better your picture, the greater your chance of getting noticed.

Login to CardPartySingles.com and click *My Media* located on the top menu. Select the *Photos* tab, if it isn’t already selected. Click the *Browse* button to select your photo from your computer that you want to add. Select who you want to be able to view your photo – Everyone (available for anyone to see) or Private. Click *Upload* to submit your photo.

Q: How do I remove my photos?

Login to CardPartySingles.com and click *My Media* located on the top menu. Select the *Photos* tab, if it isn’t already selected. Under the photo, you’ll see *Delete*. Click *Delete* and then click *OK* to confirm that you really want to remove this photo. If you change your mind, simply click *Cancel*.

Q: What are the photo guidelines (rules)?

Photos are reviewed by a real person and most photos are approved and posted within 2-4 hours, but it may take up to 10 hours for your photo to be posted. Please review our guidelines before submission. Violations will be rejected.

1. No writing on your photos or in your profile that gives out contact information. Photos containing your email address, website URLs, phone number, instant message ID, or any other form of personal contact are not allowed.
2. No Advertisement in your photos or photos caption/title (i.e. business names, website links, etc.).
3. We know that you love your body, but sorry, nude pictures are not allowed. Obscene, sexual or otherwise offensive photos are not permitted.
4. Please make sure your picture matches the gender you listed on your profile.
5. Pictures of kids, babies, or young adolescents are NOT allowed. No minors. This site is for adults only (age 18 and older).
6. Please do not make cartoons, artwork, childhood photos, or photos where your face is not visible your primary photo. You can create your Photo Gallery to express yourself and your interests (i.e. pets, vacations, hobbies, art, etc.).
7. The maximum file size your photo can be is 500KB. Please make sure that your picture is in a digital format, such as JPEG, JPG, or GIF.
8. Avoid small photos – at least 150 pixels wide x 150 pixels high. For best results use a photo that is at least 400 pixels wide x 400 pixels high.
9. Make sure that your photo is taken showing your face from the front. Try to find a picture where your face is situated in the middle of the picture. Try to choose a photo in which your face can be clearly seen, and the lighting is good. Try to select a photo that was taken recently and one that represents you.

Q: Can I upload photos from my mobile phone?

Unless your mobile phone is PDA based with a full operating system (most phones don't have this) you will need to upload your photo from a computer. A simple tip: if you have pictures on your cell phone you'd like to use, email them to yourself through your phone (check your service provider and phone) and proceed to upload them from a computer.

Q: How do I add a video to my profile?

From your member home page, click *My Media* and then click the *Video* tab. You can either upload/add your video from you computer files or enter a YouTube code (if you have the video on YouTube). Select who you want to be able to watch your video – Everyone (available for anyone to see) or Private. Click *Update* to submit your video.

Q: How do I add an audio/music recording (i.e., personal greeting, poetry, spoken word, commentary, etc.) to my profile?

From your member home page, click *My Media* and then click the *Audio* tab. Click the *Browse* button to select your music/audio file from your computer that you want to add. Select who you want to be able to listen to your recording – Everyone (available for anyone to see) or Private. Click *Update* to submit your music/audio file.

Q: What are the audio and video guidelines?

Q: How do I check my mail?

Login to CardPartySingles.com, which takes you to your member home page. Click *My Inbox* located on the top menu. Click on a message to read it. Remember that you must be upgraded to the Premium Membership to compose and reply to messages. Upgrade to Premium: On your member home page in the top right corner, click on the *upgrade now* link.

Q: How do I send mail to another member?

Login to CardPartySingles.com, which takes you to your member home page. Remember that you must be upgraded to the Premium Membership to compose and reply to messages. Upgrade to Premium: On your member home page in the top right corner, click on the *upgrade now* link.

[1] When viewing a member’s profile, simply click *Send Email*, type your subject line and message, and click the *Send Email* button, or
[2] You can email members that are in your favorites (in *My Favs*) – from your member home page, click *My Inbox* located on the top menu, then click the *Compose* tab. (To Favorite someone: When viewing a member’s profile, simply click *Add to Favs*.)

Q: What should I say in my message?

The content of your email to other members is entirely up to you; however, there are some basic guidelines to keep in mind. Your messages should not contain any vulgar, abusive, or otherwise offensive language. Also, advertising other websites or services is not permitted. If our Support Department receives complaints about a user, it is possible that his/her account may be cancelled.

Q: How can I search for profiles based on different criteria like religion, children, smoking habits, ethnicity, etc.?

Login to CardPartySingles.com, which takes you to your member home page. Click *Search* located on the top menu. Click the *Adv Search* tab to do an advanced search. To see Optional search criteria, such as Children, Religion, Ethnicity, Employment, etc., click on the little blue cross to view and select your search criteria. For results with pictures, remember to check the *Profiles with pics only* box. To save this search so that you may run it again in the future, remember to check the *Save this search as* box, fill in a name/title for this search, and click the *Search* button.

Membership & Billing (Upgrade / Cancel / Refund Policy)

Q: I have a free (standard) membership, how do I upgrade to a Premium Membership?

On your member home page in the top right corner, click on the *upgrade now* link. Select the membership plan that is right for you. Click the *Buy Now* button and follow the easy steps with secure PayPal.

Q: I have a free (standard) membership, when does my membership expire?

From your member home page, click *My Account*. In the My Account box on the top line, it should say: Member Status: Standard Member. It does NOT show any renewal/expiration date here, because that is not applicable to free memberships. You decide when you want to cancel/delete your profile.

Q: I have a free (standard) membership, how do I delete my profile?

We're bummed that you are leaving CPS, but we were glad to have you as a member! From your member home page, click *My Account*, then click the *Remove Me* tab. Click the *Remove Me* button. By clicking the *Remove Me* button, you will be removed from our system. All of your media including photos, audio, video and galleries will be removed. You will have to register on our site in order to use the system again. Please make sure this is what you want!

Q: I have a Premium Membership, when does my membership expire?

From your member home page, click *My Account*. In the My Account box on the top line, it should say: Member Status: Premium Member, (date). It will show the expiration date here.

Q: I have a Premium Membership, how do I cancel my membership and delete my profile?

We're bummed that you are leaving CPS, but we were glad to have you as a member! From your member home page, click *My Account*, then click the *Remove Me* tab. Click the *Remove Me* button. By clicking the *Remove Me* button, you will be removed from our system. All of your media including photos, audio, video and galleries will be removed. You will have to register on our site in order to use the system again. Please make sure this is what you want!

Q: I just paid my subscription but I cannot access the Premium Membership privileges (Chat, Mail, IM, etc.) -- what happened? If you have received an email confirmation from us, depending on your Internet browser you will need to log out of your profile and log back in to a new session.

Q: What are the benefits I receive as an upgraded / Premium member? More access to contact Card Party Singles members – You can initiate and receive real-time Chat (audio/video) requests. Initiate and receive IMs (instant messages). Send and reply to email messages in your Inbox. It’s easy to become a Premium Member! On your member home page in the top right corner, click on the *upgrade now* link and follow the instructions. Also, tickets to our card party dating events are sold separately and are not included with your membership.

Q: How much does the Premium Membership cost? To see the subscription fee, please go to your member home page, and in the top right corner, click on the *upgrade now* link to view pricing information.

Q: I don't want to use my credit card. Is there another way to pay? The payment options are credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal. Also, we currently do not accept money orders, cash, or checks in the mail.

Q: What is your Refund Policy? No refunds and no partial refunds for unused months. If you cancel/resign, you may use your membership/subscription until the end of your then-current subscription term; your subscription will not be renewed after your then-current term expires. However, you won't be eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of the subscription fee paid for the then-current subscription period.

Your account will remain active at full membership until your current paid period expires. Since you are given full access to your services through this expiration date we cannot prorate or refund any charges.

Q: What is your Cancellation Policy? You are responsible for and in control of cancelling your membership whenever you like. If you cancel, we cannot transfer or refund any fees/charges. Also, no prorated credit will be given for partial usage of your subscription.

Q: Does Card Party Singles do background checks on members?

No. CardPartySingles.com does not conduct background checks on the members/subscribers of this website.

Q: Somebody just asked me for money, what do I do?

We take this problem very seriously, and all reported profiles are investigated immediately. If you encounter any suspicious activity on CardPartySingles.com, click on *Contact* and use our contact form to send us a note with your concern and be sure to include the person’s username. This will send a notice to our support staff so we can investigate that user.

Please, use common sense and always be careful! You should never give or lend money to someone you have only met online. If you encounter any perpetrators asking for money, report them immediately and end communication with them immediately!

Q: I was just contacted by a minor (underage 18), what do I do?

Card Party Singles does not allow minors to be on this site. Please click on *Contact* and use our contact form to send us a note with your concern and be sure to include the person’s username. This will send a notice to our support staff so we can investigate that user. If you encounter anyone claiming to be a minor, report them immediately and end communication with them immediately!

Q: How do I report a member’s bad behavior?

If you encounter any behavior from a member that you think is inappropriate, offensive or suspicious, please let us know. A few examples include: offensive behavior such as racism, unwelcome sexual advances, spam or solicitation (someone trying to sell something or themselves), requests for money or material goods, or anything that makes you uncomfortable or suspicious. Please click on *Contact* and use our contact form to send us a note with your concern and be sure to include the person’s username. This will send a notice to our support staff so we can investigate that user.

Online Dating Safety Tips

1. Guard Your Identity! – Never include your last name, email address, home address, phone number, place of work, or any other identifying information in your profile and never give it out via email, chatroom, IM, etc. Never give someone your bank account, credit card or SSN details. Remember that someone who can commit identity theft can also falsify his/her dating identity (i.e., posts fake profile, tell lies in chatrooms/emails/IMs). Don’t allow yourself to be pressured into anything. See many photos of the person, look for inconsistencies, and don’t fall for false emotions. Never send money. Report all inappropriate behavior.
2. Setup a Separate Email Account (i.e., Yahoo, Hotmail) -- Setup a new email account for online dating purposes only that will be separate from all your personal and work email accounts. That way, it’s easy to keep track of your dating messages and be able to easily isolate any unwanted/inappropriate content. Make sure your real name isn’t included in your email address or your ‘From:’ name. Switch off any auto signatures. Send yourself a test email from your new email to see what someone else will see about you.
3. Making Phone Calls - Using IM (online instant messaging) is the safest, easiest and cheapest way to chat in real time. Investing in a microphone and set of headphones for your computer will cost hardly anything and give you unlimited safe chat time! Also, if you use your cell phone to make a call, be sure to block your Caller ID so that the person is prevented from seeing your name and number and using that to look up your address, etc.
4. Beware of Phishing – Phishing is an attempt to trick you into revealing your password and private account information. Phishing scams may include: asking immediately to use an Instant Messenger outside of the site or emails that look official but ask for your password or billing information. Note: CardPartySingles.com will never ask for your password or billing information.
5. Do Not Share Your Account Info -- For your protection and privacy do not share your login information with anyone. To protect your information from theft or getting compromised, do not allow anyone else to access or use your account. Note: CardPartySingles.com will never ask for your password.
6. Be Cautious Using Shared or Public Computers -- When using a shared or a public computer log out of your CardPartySingles.com account and close the browser window. For additional protection you can also delete the cookies and browsing history. If you are using Internet Explorer, click on 'Tools' at the top of the screen, then select 'Internet Options'. The next screen to come up should have a ‘Browsing History’ section on the ‘General’ tab. Click the ‘Delete’ button in this section, and the next screen to come up lets you check what you want to delete. Check or uncheck your selections, and then click the ‘Delete’ button.
7. Don’t Let Love Rob You Blind! -- Never send money, bank or credit card details, or your social security number to someone you’ve met through a dating service! Google “online dating scams” and the search results will turn up thousands of stories ranging from the loss of a few hundred dollars to the endangerment of lives. A search will also show the multitude of ways in which scammers extract money from innocent, unsuspecting online dating users. Scammers claim to have sick grandmothers, need money to pay household bills, need a loan, need donation for charity/ministry/organ transplant, say they’re stranded in a foreign country, need to pay for visas or travel expenses to visit you…the list goes on and on. STOP communicating with anyone who asks you for money! STOP communicating with anyone who asks you for personal or financial information or attempts in any way to trick you into revealing it! Offline Dating Safety Tips

You should never exchange personal contact information with someone you just met online without first checking his/her background/credentials and verifying that the person is who they claim to be. If you decide to meet in your city/town, you should keep these tips in mind:

1. Meet in a public place in the daytime.
2. Don’t accept a ride from your date and use your own car or get your own transportation. Do not have your date pick you up from home, work, etc.
3. Tell family and friends where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
4. Keep your cell phone turned on and with you at all times.
5. Avoid getting drunk. Drink non-alcoholic beverages.
6. Watch Your Stuff - Do not leave your personal belongings, drink, or food unattended at any time. If you go to the bathroom take your phone, purse/bag/wallet with you. Do not risk having your personal details or identity stolen. Keep any drinks & food close to you at all times. If you’ve left it, leave it. A watery soda, half a warm beer, or cold french fries isn’t worth risking your safety.
7. Watch your date’s body language and behavior.
8. Take a friend with you or make it a double date with people you know.
9. Trust your instincts and use common sense.
10. If it goes well, meet again!

Note: If you feel unsafe with your date, get help from someone around you. Tell a waitress, a security guard, a passerby, a stranger in the bathroom -- attract the attention and support of someone around you – and leave. If your date insists on walking you to a car parked down an alley or in a deserted parking lot or following you home, STOP where you are, call a cab, and collect your car another time. Your safety is more important than worrying about offending your date.

Q: What should I do if I forgot my username or password?

Go to http://www.cardpartysingles.com/resend.php. Please input the email address that you registered with and click the *Resend Password* button. Wait a few minutes, and check your email Inbox and/or Spam/Junk folder for the email message from Card Party Singles.

Q: What should I do if I get an “Invalid Account Information or Account not activated yet!” message?

Please make sure you have entered your information correctly. Keep in mind that your password is case sensitive. This means that if your password is 'AAA' (upper case), but you type in 'aaa' (lower case), you will not be able to access the site.

Q: What should I do if I get an expired session?

For security reasons, accounts which have been inactive for 45 minutes or longer will be automatically disconnected from our site and returned to the login page. If this happens to you, please re-login to the main page.

In order to use the chat feature, you must have a microphone and a webcam installed and working on your computer. Please be sure you have the following installed and working on your computer: Flash, javascript, cookies, and the newest version of Internet Explorer. Please be sure your Pop-Up blocker has been disabled. To get Flash, please visit www.macromedia.com. To get the latest version of Internet Explorer, go to www.Microsoft.com and download it.

Be sure to plug in or turn your mic on, if you want people to hear you! And, be sure that the volume on your computer/speakers is not on mute or too low, if you want to hear others!

Q: I’m not able to use IM (live instant messenger), why is that?

Remember that you must be upgraded to the Premium Membership to use Chat, IM, and compose/reply to messages. Upgrade to Premium: On your member home page in the top right corner, click on the *upgrade now* link.

In order to use the IM feature, please be sure you have the following installed and working on your computer: Flash, javascript, cookies, and the newest version of Internet Explorer. Please be sure your Pop-Up blocker has been disabled. To get Flash, please visit www.macromedia.com. To get the latest version of Internet Explorer, go to www.Microsoft.com and download it.

Q: Why are my web pages showing older/ inaccurate information?

If you are experiencing this situation, it is probably a result of your web browsers 'cache files'. These files contain saved web page information, used to increase loading speed.

If you are using Internet Explorer, click on 'Tools' at the top of the screen, then select 'Internet Options'. The next screen to come up should have a ‘Browsing History’ section on the ‘General’ tab. Click the ‘Delete’ button in this section, and the next screen to come up lets you check what you want to delete. Check or uncheck your selections, and then click the ‘Delete’ button.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, click on 'Tools' at the top of the screen, then select ‘Clear Private Data’. The next screen to come up should have buttons reading ‘Browsing History', 'Cache', and 'Cookies'. Check your selection, and then click the ‘Clear Private Data’ button.

In Netscape, click on 'Edit' at the top of the screen, then select 'Preferences' and click the 'Advanced' tab. From the menu that drops down highlight 'Cache', then click the 'Clear Memory Cache', and 'Clear Disk Cache' buttons. After this, click 'Ok'.

This should resolve the difficulties you are experiencing.
